Bożena Pazgan about her latest “Autumn Ballerina” Project:
What I like about Polish autumn are beautiful colors all around. Lots of yellow, orange, brown and red leaves in the parks and on the streets and as addition beautiful golden rays of sun.
With a very talented dancer Svetlana Ovsyankina from Polish National Ballet, taking advantage of the golden autumn sun, we decided to take some photos. We called it “Autumn ballerina”. Svetlana had some beautiful “autumn colors” skirts but as usual I wanted to add something interesting or even extraordinary to our ballet photo session. I collected some yellow, red and brown leaves in a park and I made a skirt from them. I was a little bit worried if Svetlana wears this kind of skirt but … when she saw it she just laughed and said “Of course we have to try it on”. So that is how one of our Ms Autumn images was created. Also thanks to Juli Garden for the beautiful autumn colors leotard we could use during our ballet photo session.
Our photo session took place nearby the National Opera. One of the places was Saski Garden. I think our autumn ballerina just fits perfectly to colors which prevailed in the park. On some photos we also used the reflections of Svetlana and yellow trees that were formed on the wall of one of the buildings.
This is our version of Ms Autumn. Enjoy !
