XIII International Contest of Choreographers, the Bolshoi Theatre, Moscow. The Winners

We are  happy to present our gallery of the Winners of the International Contest of Choreographers at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow. All the images are made by Anna Pavlova Network officially accredited photographer Elena Pushkina.

 

PRIZE I AND GOLD MEDAL

Wen Xiaochao, China

Wen has been performing since the age of 16 and participated in many well known art productions, including the Opening and the closing Ceremonies of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. He graduated from the Beijing Dance Academy modern dance choreography department. Wen is an experienced and passionate professional dancer, choreographer and teacher.

Zuniga Jimenez Eduardo Andres, Chili

Born in Santiago, Edoardo was taught at Huston Ballet Academy and performed in various classical and contemporary companies in the U.S. He moved to Chili in 2013 to join the Ballet Nacional de S and most recently over the past two years with Lucerne Tanz Theatre in Switzerland.

PRIZE II AND SILVER MEDAL

Madan Nina, Russia

Nina successfully combines roles of dancer and choreographer at the Children’s Music Theatre named after N. Sats. Among her productions are: I. Rechin’s ballet “Marsyas”, “Teremok” Opera, “Morozko” Opera, “Letters from the Front”, “Magic Toyshop” by G. Rossini and  O. Respighi. She has toured in various Russian cities as well as in Turkey, China, Morocco, Andorra, Israel and other countries.

Performer: Ildar Tagirov

 

Merkuriev Andrey, Russia

Graduated from the Ufa Ballet School, Andrey was employed by the State Opera and Ballet Theatre of the Komi Republic. Since 1997 to 2001 he was soloist at the St. Petersburg Mussorgsky State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre. In 2001-2006 Andrey was soloist at the Mariinsky State Academic Theatre. Since 2006 he has been with the ballet company of the Bolshoi Theatre.

PRIZE III AND BRONZE MEDAL

Liu Tingting, China

Born in Cina, Liu has learned modern choreography in Beijing Dance Academy. In 2008 she was a choreographer of Opening Ceremony Gala of the Olympic Games Qiungdao division. Among her awards are the 1st Award of Liaoning “Peach and Plum Cup” dance Competition (2006), National High quality Project Award for moonlight over  Erquan Pond (2007), Award in Atlanta USA (2014) and more.

Cheng Long, China

She has finished her MFA in dance major at the Temple University. She holds both BFA and MFA degrees from Beijing Dance Academy in choreography major. Long has also had the honor of participating as choreographer in the closing ceremony of the 29th Olympic Games (2008) and the movie “Painted Skin” (2010). In 2014 Cheng Long was awarded with the scholarship from the Chinese Government for the funding of an “outstanding talents” project.
